I am on 187 friends lists on this site, yet I am on 114 journal favourite lists. I would consider myself more of a writer then a friend, the difference in the numbers kind of surprised me I have to admit.



There has to be a handful of people on this site that I would talk to on a regular basis yet I am on 187 lists. Thats a 90%+ dead weight ratio. Hmmmm.

Tonight was the first time I had ever eaten Sashimi, not only that, I also tried Octopus. I was toying with ordering it because the little menu with the pictures made it look so visually interesting. Even the way the flesh was cut was intriguing to me.



I don't know why but I have always been interested in knives and the ability to use them with precision and dexterity. This unusual interest lead to many mysterious stab wounds appearing around my home as I was growing up, most noticeably a life sized teddy bear and the banner at the top of our stairs. Both would develop sudden and serious injuries every time I got my hands on any kind of blade.



I had decided against ordering the octopus and instead ordered a scallop dish, which when it arrived was served in the half shell, an interesting little touch. But at the table we had ordered a mixed plate order of Sashimi and among the varieties of raw fish was Octopus. I saw it as a sign and I tried some.



I took my first bite with a little trepidation but I found it was not accompanied by any gagging, face making or fatal ruptures to my gastro-intestinal tract. In fact I rather enjoyed it. Yes it was chewy and had a slight tinge of ammonia to it but I have to say I would order it again. Overall it was one of my better culinary adventures.

Daire, if I forget to tell you later, I love reading your journal, it cracks me up every time I read it.





Not that I am not glad for the praise, but what I really really want is someone’s honest appraisal of my written work, my short stories etc...



Totally impartial and clinical, a good critique. Lately I have been doubting my skills a little, I know I am better then average at writing, not boasting, just my opinion, but I still want to know if I have the ability to make it.

This is what I think the house system was meant to embody. Rival houses, rival leaders, but no animosity. People seem to have forgotten that all the master vampires were on friendly terms before the house system and still are after it has been initiated.



The story here is that someone came to me and asked to be traded to Sabastion's house. I offered a trade and I had asked for 3,000 favor. I knew the member was worth more however I did not feel comfortable asking for more then that. And this is the trade message I received this morning.

19964. That is how many views a journal should have with 92 entries and on 217 fav. lists. However it seems there is only just over 3000. My theory of asking people to add the journal seems a little more credible.











109424 is what mine should be, however it is, 108867. Seems a little closer a ratio then the one above, would not you agree?



And don't worry this is not a petty I’m not number 1 on the top list anymore. It is simply my dislike of the habit people have developed of asking to be added to lists etc....

Yet somehow this person has their Journal at the top of the Journal on most Favorite Lists.



Now maybe, just maybe all these people added this person to their list by their own decision. But to me it seems like this person has gone from person to person and asked to be put on their list......why? Whats the point of that?
